Horatio is a 3-4 year old male large cross-breed currently in the East Midlands.
He is neutered and weighs approximately 60–70kg. He is iElisa negative.
Horatio previously lived with shepherds in Romania before entering rescue and is now looking for a calm, experienced home.
He is a large, calm dog who enjoys a relaxed environment and benefits from clear boundaries and respectful handling. He is not aggressive but can become uncomfortable if handled excessively or without allowing him space.
Horatio is social with other dogs and would suit a home with calm, well-balanced companions. He would not be suited to living with very energetic dogs or puppies.
He walks on lead and is manageable with appropriate handling. He would benefit from continued guidance and routine to help him settle into a home environment.
Horatio forms bonds at his own pace and prefers a quieter setting where he can build trust gradually. Once settled, he is a steady and low-energy companion.
He would suit an experienced, adult-only home familiar with large or guardian-type dogs. A calm home with space and structure will help him continue to build confidence.
Horatio will need an adopter who understands the importance of patience, consistency and allowing him to approach interaction in his own time.
