Meet adoptable deaf 9 month old puppy Juno who is looking for a loving forever home! Juno is a handsome, playful young pup with striking blue eyes and a personality that is just as special as his looks. Juno is deaf, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! He is smart, observant, and knows hand signals for commands. Training him is a breeze, he is incredibly smart and picks things up easily. He watches his people closely and is very capable of learning through visual cues, routine, and positive reinforcement.
Juno is an energetic, fun-loving boy who enjoys being outside, going for walks, playing, and spending time with his people. He has a goofy, playful personality and loves attention. Like many young dogs, he can get excited and mouthy during play, so he is still learning appropriate play manners, impulse control, and how to settle when the fun is over. He has already shown that he is eager and capable of learning when given consistency.
Because Juno is young and active, he would do best with a new family that has the time and patience to continue his training and give him plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation. His new family does not need previous experience with a deaf dog—just a willingness to learn how to communicate with him in a way that works for him.
Juno would especially benefit from a secure fenced yard where he can safely run and play. Because he cannot hear someone calling him or approaching him, his safety and supervision outdoors are important. He is also still a puppy at heart and needs appropriate toys, enrichment, and continued guidance about what belongs to him and what doesn’t.
Juno came into our family with every intention of being his forever home. This decision is not being made lightly, and there is nothing “wrong” with Juno. He is a wonderful dog who simply needs a home that can better match his energy, training needs, and need for consistent interaction. Our biggest priority is finding the right home, not simply finding him a home.
Juno’s ideal adopter will be patient, active, committed to positive training, and willing to learn alongside him. In return, they’ll get a beautiful, funny, intelligent young dog with so much potential. With consistency, structure, exercise, and love, Juno has everything he needs to become an incredible lifelong companion.
Juno’s adoption fee is $350 to a screened and approved home only and you must also live within 50 miles of McDonough, GA to be considered for adoption.
