Meet adoptable deaf 2.5 year old Catahoula Leopard/Cocker Spaniel or Beagle mix dog Angel who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make her your new best friend and always keep her safe.
From her foster mom: Hi! My name is Angel. I am deaf. But that is not my whole story. Let me tell you more.
First off, I am a Catahoula Leopard dog which is the state dog of Louisiana. That makes me very special! I have beautiful blue eyes and the softest cleanest fur. Speaking of fur, my coloring is called Blue Merle.
Already, I have been to the vet and I am heart worm negative and I am spayed. They gave me my rabies, DHLP, bordetella,and Simparica Trio. I enjoyed the vet.
My foster Mom works with me every day so that I can learn some dog sign language. I can tell I am doing a good job because she gives me special small treats.
Just so you know, I prefer to be the only dog. But, giving love to my human is my favorite activity.

Hi, this is Melissa, Angel’s foster mom. Yes, all of that is true and so much more.
She has bilateral deafness due to being a double Blue Merle. Her sight and smell are very good and she responds well to a schedule. I’ve discovered that she has resource guarding and should be in a forever home without another dog. As every day goes by, she amazes me. Please consider Angel as your companion animal. What a wonderful dog!
