Meet adoptable deaf dog Sophie who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe.
From her shelter advocate: 
Sophie arrived at ARC as a stray on 5/5/26 and has been looking for her forever family since then. She is very social with staff and volunteers, enjoys spending time with other dogs, and is energetic and playful. She enjoys bouncing around people playfully and asking for more pets and attention. She had an overnight “doggy day out” with a family with kids and they reported that she did well with them.
She is a “teenager” still and will need some basic training and manners. She appears to have prey drive and is not recommended to be homed with cats. Sophie potentially has food allergies and is on special diet due to patchy and red skin but is not a picky eater! Staff is not aware if she has had any previous training using ASL or other visual cues. Please reach out to ARC for any questions or come visit her in person! Sophie’s Animal ID number is A008696.
