Paddy is a 9 year old male medium cross-breed currently in Scotland.
He is neutered and settled into home life following rescue from a shelter environment.
Paddy is affectionate, calm and people-focused once he has built trust. He forms strong bonds with his primary carers and enjoys close companionship, but can be wary of unfamiliar people. Slow and controlled introductions are recommended.
He prefers a quiet environment and can become overwhelmed in busy households or where there are frequent visitors.
Paddy is housetrained, can be left alone and walks well on lead. He enjoys regular walks and time outdoors, although he can be sensitive to traffic and may require reassurance around vehicles.
He travels well once in the car but may need assistance getting in. He is comfortable with routine handling and enjoys grooming.
Paddy can live with other calm and respectful dogs, although he prefers his own space for resting. He may also be able to live with a cat following careful introductions.
He would suit a quiet, adult-only home in a rural or semi-rural location. An experienced adopter who can provide a calm, structured environment and allow him time to build trust would be ideal.
