Frankie is a 2-year-7-month-old male Jack Russell Terrier. He was found abandoned and had a clear indentation on his neck showing he had previously been chained. He was also underfed, which made his rescue all the more important.
Despite his difficult past, Frankie is described as a pocket rocket with a heart of gold. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and full of life and enthusiasm. His energetic nature makes him a brilliant running buddy for an active owner.
Frankie absolutely adores people and loves being around his humans. He is especially fond of attention and thrives on companionship. He is the kind of dog who lights up when he is included in daily life.
He can live with children over 12 years of age, which suits his lively and playful personality. His energy means he would do well with older children who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs.
He forms strong bonds and enjoys being part of the family.
When it comes to other dogs, Frankie could possibly live with the right match. He tends to do best with younger, spayed females who can keep up with his playful energy. Careful introductions and sensible management would be important.
Frankie is house trained, which will help him settle into a new home more easily. He can be very enthusiastic at mealtimes and tends to devour his food quickly. Because of this, it is recommended that he is fed separately from other dogs.
His recall is very good in quiet areas, showing he is responsive and engaged with his handler. However, cars and busy environments can distract him, so he will need continued guidance in more stimulating places.
Ongoing training will help him build focus and confidence.
Frankie has survived a rough start in life but has not lost his spark or loving nature. He is loyal, affectionate, and ready for someone who will truly commit to him. He is currently in Cyprus and can fly to the UK in March if the right home is offered.
