Nelson’s Three Days Of Sniffing Weekend Plus A New Title

Nelson’s Three Days Of Sniffing Weekend Plus A New TitleI had three days of sniffing last weekend at the Scott County Fairgrounds. It was a lot of work, but also a ton of fun for me. The first day I was the dog in white which was extra fun since I was a test dog and I didn’t need to be perfect.

My GBGV Life waiting to searchThe second day I did an Elite-Premier Trial. I had three really good searches and one not so great. In my last search of the day, I was of only ten dogs to find all the hides and I placed fourth in that search. I’m proud of that for sure!

Day three was nothing for me in the morning but that ended up being a lucky thing. You see this cat showed up at the fairgrounds and insisted on being in the middle of everything. It even ruined a search for one dog. Finally some volunteers captured it and put it in a building until the end of the day. I always liked cat bro Bert so I would have been distracted by this dog and people loving kitty.

In the afternoon I had my Level 2 Vehicle Trial, L2V. I had four searches each with a known number of hides. Our GoPro has been being naughty so most of the videos from the weekend are totally bouncy and bad. We managed to salvage my first vehicle search. It was three vehicles, three hides, two and a half minutes. I’m not a big speed searcher like Olivia, but for me I did work pretty fast.

My GBGV Life Nelson's Three Days Of Sniffing Weekend Plus A New TitleBeing a good boy most of the trial, I passed all four of my searches and earned my L2V Title. Now my name is: Ethos Let’s Go Crazy TD SWM SWD RATO FCAT2 TKN CGC ATT FDC ELT-CH L2V L1E L2C L3I The tractor thing behind me almost cost me my title. I get bored just searching vehicles and I refused to search this machinery. We had two minutes to find one hide and I waited until I had fifteen seconds left to tell Mom where the hide was.

My GBGV Life Chuck & DonsMom is super proud of how well I did all weekend so we stopped at Chuck & Dons for some treats on the way home.

My GBGV Life Nelson sniffingI picked out some deer sticks for us all to munch on Sunday night. This Jones Chews section was super interesting and tasty smelling. Mom knew the former rep for Jones Chews in her early blogging years, she called herself Flea. She sent Mom lots of different chews to review over the years. Sadly she passed away a couple years ago. Seeing this display made Mom happy and sad, all in one. Bailie can’t have hard chews anymore, so I opted for the deer sticks instead. My three days of sniffing was a blast but I was totally worn out by Sunday night.
