While it’s unclear if Amy Madigan, who played Aunt Gladys, and her husband Ed Harris own a dog, she gave a huge shout-out to canine companions at the 2026 Oscars.
When she accepted her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Gladys, Madigan took the time to thank “people that mean something” to her. She started off by expressing gratitude to the director and writer of Weapons, Zach Cregger. She also thanked her fellow nominees, Teyana Taylor, Elle Fanning, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, and Wunmi Mosaku. Before thanking her husband, Madigan shared her appreciation for dogs.
“I want to thank my beautiful daughter, Lily, her husband, Shawn, and of course all the dogs. But the most important is my beloved Ed, who’s been with me forever and that’s a long time and none of this would mean anything if he wasn’t by my side,” said Madigan in her speech.
