Little Finn a 12 month approx Jack Russell mix was found straying on a busy main road alongside Hattie. He wasn’t microchipped, and sadly no owner ever came forward to claim him from the stray pound.

From the moment he arrived, Finn melted everyone’s hearts. He’s an old soul in a young body—not your typical terrier. He is incredibly gentle, affectionate, and simply loves being around people.

Since moving into foster, Finn has been an absolute dream. He settled quickly into a home environment, is very polite with the resident dogs (who welcomed him immediately), and sleeps happily in his crate at night.

Although he had clearly never lived in a home before, his house training is progressing really well.

Lead walking was also completely new to him, but he has taken to it with ease. Finn is a relaxed and easy-going little dog. While everything is still new to him, he takes it all in his stride and isn’t easily fazed.

He even attended a busy dog show during his first week—where he won first prize for Best Crossbreed! Despite being surrounded by unfamiliar dogs, he remained calm, happily lying amongst them or relaxing under a car to keep cool.

Finn has since met other dogs out and about and is always polite. He enjoys playing, but he’s not over the top—just a lovely balance of calm and fun. He’s also a very intelligent little dog who picks things up quickly.

We are looking for a home that will recognise Finn’s potential and continue the fantastic work his foster carer has started—helping him build confidence through positive experiences so he can truly thrive.

Finn could suit a variety of homes. He doesn’t necessarily need to live with another dog, as he adores people, but he would benefit from regular interaction with other dogs—either through doggy friends or a compatible resident dog.

He is currently living happily with older dogs and is very respectful of them.

What Finn really needs is to be at the heart of his new family’s world. He wouldn’t suit a home where he is left alone for long periods or a very busy household where he might get lost in the hustle and bustle.

Finn has been fully vet-checked with no concerns, is neutered, microchipped, and has started his vaccinations.

If you feel you could offer this very special boy the loving home he deserves, we would love to hear from you.
