Today I’m thankful for more food. Mom took me along to pick up our order of food yesterday. I love going anywhere but getting food is a pretty tasty job. We only get food every four or five months, so it is a big order. I feel it is best if I do some taste testing to make sure it is yummy enough. It is an hour drive each way and we would not want to have to return it, right?
Once the four hundred pounds were loaded, I assumed my position to keep an eye on it while driving. Maybe someone would hijack us to get the food, you never know when you have such yummy cargo. When we got home, I helped Mom pack it in plastic bags and then fill our freezers to the brim with it. Mom says it is a real hassle driving to get it, then packaging it and trying to fit it all in the freezers, but it is worth it for good food. Now we can rest easy for the next four to five months because we won’t starve!
