Today I’m looking back at the new states visited while I was six years old. I now have a total of thirty eight states and the District of Columbia. Since Mom says I only have forty eight to visit, I have ten to go, mainly out west except for South Carolina.
In August we traveled all the way to DC. Since DC isn’t really a state, I keep it separate. We didn’t find a sign for it so the best I can do is a photo of me and Nelson on the Mall.
The first new state we stopped in on the way to our final destination was New Jersey which has a fun sign. Not all states have fun signs.
It was a Saturday when we were on the East Coast and traffic was horrible. Getting to Delaware was the absolute worst but Mom is determined and didn’t give up.
Our final destination where our trials were was Maryland. Now they didn’t really have a sign which was disappointing but we take what we can get.
The end of October we went out to Maine, a long trip but we had such a wonderful time out there. It was definitely worth the trip!
Twelve days before my birthday, last Friday, I made it to Louisiana. It is kind of a different place but it’s still good to see all parts of the country. It’s hard to find trials we need on the west coast but we are still hoping we find something so we can start branching our west this year.
Since we see a lot of nature in our travels, I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
