Mia is a 9 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is currently in foster near Maldon in Essex and has already been spayed.
Mia has come into care because her elderly owner developed dementia and could no longer look after her, so this change has been a big adjustment for her.
She has clearly been well loved throughout her life and is used to having her person around most of the time. Because of that, she enjoys human company and will likely thrive in a home where someone is around regularly.
Despite the big change in her life, she has settled into her foster home quite well so far.
Mia has had a few accidents in the house since arriving, which is understandable given the recent move and changes in routine. With consistency and a stable home environment, this should continue to improve as she feels more secure.
She is described as calm and adaptable, which makes the transition easier for her than it might be for some dogs.
She walks beautifully on the lead and is comfortable around other dogs when out and about. She could live with another calm dog, as long as the other dog is relaxed and respectful of her space.
This makes her a good option for someone who already has a quiet, steady companion dog at home.
Mia is also described as good with children, which suggests she has a gentle and tolerant nature. She would suit a home that can offer companionship, patience, and stability as she settles into her new life.
After everything she has been through, she deserves a calm and loving home where she can feel secure again.
