Ringo is a medium-sized, friendly, crossbreed boy who has just lost his home due to no fault of his own as his owners had poor health issues. He has a tan, short coat and those tall ears of a Podenco, but looks like there could be a bit of GSD in there too.

Ringo was one of our dogs and adopted about 18 months ago but due to health issues of his owner, we need to find this handsome lad a new home. His owner describes him as a kind and gentle boy, who is relaxed and clean in the house.
He’s friends with another dog and, of course, he previously lived with multiple other dogs in the rescue, and mixed well with them.

Ringo is good with children and friendly with people but does not like cats, he’s also good on the lead but is quite a strong boy. Ringo is just a happy chappie who loves people and is very friendly. He is 4 years old a medium-sized, mixed breed boy of 35 kg, he neutered and up to date with his vaccinations, and loves his walks, he’s quite a strong boy but settles in to his walks. We are looking for a home with females or no dog home, and no cats. • Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:
  • Homecheck:
  • For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:
  • Adoption Fee: £
Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young, then the new owners will need to ensure this is done and proof sent to us once complete. All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. DogwatchUk does this on your behalf so that we know that its been done.

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks which are carried out via a video call. There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK (or Paypal) and covers the cost of passport, bloods, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.
If you are adopting a UK dog then the process is still the same but there will be no bloods or passport or transport costs.
If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.
If the application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.
Our checker will be given your details to contact you. All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).
We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.
Proof of ID and landlord permission (if applicable) is required

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.

Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Paid to the Spanish rescue via UK bank account
