Meet adoptable deaf 4 month old Catahoula mix Oakley who is currently looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement sign training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.

Oakley -FL – Deaf Dogs Rock

From his rescue advocate: I’m Oakley, at about 3 months old I found myself in quit a predicament. Alone on a busy street with know idea what was happening. I found myself not fast enough to dodge moving cars. With a fractured femur I found myself alone AGAIN, now in the county shelter. Satchels Last Resort Rescue was quickly notified and intervened to care for me and provide my needed surgery. There I also found my foster Momma one of the Trainers from Satchels whom helped me with my recovery.

Now I’m about 4 months old and feeling so much better. I have a foster sister who is a 11month old pit bull who also was rescued from Satchels. She’s a lot of fun, we play together, we train together and we also go to work with foster momma together at Satchels. Foster momma is teaching ASL, Im potty trained, walk like a boss on a leash, sleep through the night in my cozy cabin (crate) I learn a new sign (ASL) everyday. Foster momma signs Thumbs Up & Jazzy Hands all the time! I’m pretty sure those are BEST BOY EVER! I’m all white with black polkadots and my face is a blue merle with one neon blue eye. I’m listed as a Great Dane mix but I think I’m a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix?
