This sweet senior lady is Nyla. At 53 pounds, it is estimated that she is about 12 years old. Nyla has been categorized as a Pitbull/Terrier mix.
We believe Nyla is deaf.
That means she experiences the world a little differently than most dogs. She doesn’t hear your voice—but she watches your face, your hands, and your heart.
Nyla isn’t asking for much.
She simply wants someone to love.
Someone who will spend time with her.
Someone who understands that her biggest fear isn’t silence……it’s being alone.
She has a little separation anxiety, but she’s not destructive. She just wants the comfort of knowing her person is nearby.
When she’s with someone she loves, Nyla completely relaxes.
She becomes a gentle, affectionate cuddle bug who reminds us that communication isn’t always about hearing.
