Some dogs have a way of making themselves unforgettable, and Kane is one of them.
At just 1½ years old, Kane is a goofy, affectionate, people-loving boy who lives every day with enthusiasm. Whether he’s racing through the yard with the zoomies, stretching out in the sunshine, proudly carrying around one of his favorite “treasures,” or snoring after a long day of adventures, Kane knows how to enjoy life.
More than anything, Kane wants to be with his people. He forms incredibly strong bonds and is happiest when he’s included in whatever you’re doing. His loyalty, playful personality, and sweet nature make him an easy dog to love.
Kane is deaf, but don’t let that fool you—he’s incredibly intelligent and eager to learn. He thrives with positive reinforcement, routine, and hand signals, and he looks to his people for guidance and connection. His disability doesn’t define him; it’s simply one small part of who he is.
Kane is currently completing heartworm treatment and is making great progress. He’ll need a family committed to following through with his care and keeping him on year-round heartworm prevention.
