Nelson and I had a perfect plus Scent Work Day in Ellsworth on Sunday. We have decided to work on our Scent Work Master Elite Titles. This means we need ten qualifying runs in each of the four elements, Containers, Buried Hides, Interiors, and Exteriors. Olivia had some extra Q’s already and I didn’t have any. Our day was 100% perfect and we also got placements! Mom never imagined that would happen!
I was entered in one Exterior and two Container searches. Of course, I passed all three earning first place in my Exterior and second in both of my Container searches! Since over the years I had accumulated nine Q’s in Master Containers, I only needed one to earn my SCME, Scent Work Container Master Elite Title. I have one Q towards my Interior Elite title now too! Mom and I are both so happy with my results today and we had such a good time searching together!
Nelson did not disappoint either and was actually the biggest surprise. He earns titles but not that many placements. Today is an exception as he earned second place in his Interior search, one first and one second place in his Buried searches. As they were waiting to search Mom suddenly remembered he hasn’t done Buried hides in almost two years. That didn’t stop Nelson. Mom said he did two beautiful searches and completely deserved his placements.
It was definitely a perfect Scent Work Day for our family, plus we had a blast in our searches and Mom also enjoyed hanging out with friends in the parking lot. We are in no rush to complete these Elite Titles. The plan is to enter trials now and then and use them for practice.
