Woody is looking for a home.
Woody – 1 year old male Golden Retriever Cross-Breed.
Meet Woody – a golden boy with a heart full of love.
DOB: 15 May 2025
Location: Rescue in Ayr
If you’re looking for a dog who wakes up every morning excited to see what adventures the day will bring, then Woody might just be your perfect match.
This handsome young lad is an absolute delight. Full of love, joy, and enthusiasm for life, Woody has quickly become a favourite with everyone who meets him.
He approaches life with a wagging tail, a happy heart, and a firm belief that every person he meets is a potential new best friend. Woody currently lives alongside our famous “Wonky Zone” dogs, including some rather colourful canine personalities, and he gets along beautifully with every single one of them.
He has a wonderful nature and seems to have a natural ability to fit in wherever he goes. At night, Woody sleeps happily in the house and has proven himself to be a very good house guest.
He is clean overnight, has not been destructive, hasn’t chewed anything he shouldn’t, and has shown no interest in escaping. For such a young dog, he’s been remarkably sensible.
What Woody is Like
* Friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets
* Loves other dogs
* Sleeps well in the house
* Clean overnight
* Non-destructive
* Full of fun and enthusiasm
* Loves cuddles and human company
* A happy, confident youngster

Woody has started learning to walk on a lead and is making good progress.
At the moment, he can get a little overexcited, occasionally spinning around because he’d rather stop for cuddles than continue walking.
He’s still a young dog and will need ongoing training and guidance, but he is eager to learn and loves spending time with people.
Woody’s Ideal Home
Woody could fit into many different types of homes.
He could live with another friendly dog or be equally happy as the centre of attention.
He could also live with children, although due to his age and exuberance he can be quite bouncy and jumpy, so interactions should always be supervised and children should be dog-savvy.
His new family will need to be committed to continuing his training, helping him develop good manners, and showing him all the wonderful things life has to offer.
Why We Love Woody
Woody is one of those dogs who simply makes people smile.
He has a joyful outlook on life, a gentle heart, and so much love to give.
He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you on adventures during the day and then curl up beside you for cuddles in the evening.
With a little guidance and continued training, he is going to make an incredible family companion.
