Help we are over run with more gorgeous puppies!
Sonny is a beautiful male older pup and his sister has just been adopted so we are hoping its Sonny’s turn soon. He is just 7 months old. He has a soft, tan and honey, brindle coat and will grow to be a medium, mixed-breed lad when fully grown. More victims of abandonment but you can argue these pups are the lucky ones- what’s happened to their siblings? We daren’t think about that!

Sonny is very sweet natured and in good condition, and loves the rough and tumble of the puppy pen which seems to be full at the moment! He’ds great with other dogs and people and we can try him with cats if required but we think hes ok with them. We are just happy that he seems a well balanced cheeky little pup, with his character  developing every day.

We are looking for a home with or without another friendly dog and we think he will be ok with children over 8 years.

  • Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:
  • Homecheck:
  • For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:
  • Adoption Fee: £
Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young, then the new owners will need to ensure this is done and proof sent to us once complete. All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. DogwatchUk does this on your behalf so that we know that its been done.

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks which are carried out via a video call. There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK (or Paypal) and covers the cost of passport, bloods, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.
If you are adopting a UK dog then the process is still the same but there will be no bloods or passport or transport costs.
If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.
If the application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.
Our checker will be given your details to contact you. All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).
We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.
Proof of ID and landlord permission (if applicable) is required

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.

Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Paid to the Spanish rescue via UK bank account
