Wilson is a 2 year old male Hound Cross. He was rescued in Cyprus as a baby of six months and flew to his current home in Mold, Wales at around a year old. He weighs around 27 kg.
Wilson is a deeply affectionate dog who forms strong bonds once he feels safe. When he trusts you, he is a total sofa snuggler and would happily spend the day curled up beside you, soaking up all the love.
Indoors, he is calm, settled, and content to relax, making him a lovely presence in the home.
Outside, Wilson has a playful side and enjoys stretching his legs in open spaces. He absolutely loves chasing his frisbee, although returning it is not really his strong point. He is more about the joy of the chase than the fetch itself.
Wilson walks beautifully on the lead when it is quiet. He can become excited and reactive when he sees other dogs, particularly at the start of a walk, but with calm handling and distraction he does settle.
Off lead, he enjoys playing with other dogs, although he can get a bit over-excited and benefits from gentle time-outs to help him calm himself.
He is excellent around food, with no begging, stealing, or guarding, and is fully house trained, crate trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. He can be left for a few hours without distress and does not suffer from separation anxiety.
Wilson is brilliant with familiar people and has been lovely with the children in his current home. However, he is a sensitive and easily spooked boy.
For this reason, he would be best suited to a quieter, adult-only home with minimal unexpected noise or activity, where he can truly relax and feel secure.
Wilson is being rehomed through no fault of his own. Sadly, despite time and patience, he has not been able to feel safe around one member of his current household and is living in a constant state of anxiety.
His family love him dearly and want him to have the calm, peaceful life he deserves.
Wilson would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with experienced or understanding adopters, a quiet environment with predictable routines, and someone willing to let him build trust at his own pace.

In the right home, Wilson will be an incredibly loyal and loving companion who gives his whole heart to his person. If you are looking for a gentle soul to share quiet days, cosy evenings, and meaningful bonds, Wilson could be your perfect match.
