Meet Molly Mae. Molly Mae is a 2 year old female Maltese cross Poodle, tiny in size at approximately 3 kg, and is currently in foster in Ayr, South Ayrshire.
Little Molly Mae may be small enough to fit in your hands, but she has the gentlest, most beautiful little soul.
She came into rescue alongside Holly Ivy after their owner’s working hours changed and they could no longer provide the time and companionship these tiny girls need.
When Molly first arrived, she was terrified and spent several days shaking as she tried to make sense of her new world. It appears she had not been very well socialised and found the world overwhelming.
With patience and kindness, she has truly blossomed into a gentle, affectionate little companion who loves being cuddled and is perfectly happy being picked up.
She is not overly interested in toys at the moment, but we suspect that living in Holly’s shadow may have dampened her confidence a little. In a home of her own, we think Molly’s true personality will shine.
Holly can be a little snappy around food, and Molly will not eat properly when Holly is nearby. This is one of the reasons we have made the decision to rehome them separately, as Molly deserves the chance to relax and flourish.
Molly needs an adult-only home or one with older children aged 12 or over. There should be no visiting small children. She must be the only dog in the household and would suit a family who is home most of the time, such as someone retired or working from home.

Her new owners must be committed to ongoing training, building a routine, and supporting her with lead training and house training.
Due to her tiny size, Molly must have a very secure garden with absolutely no gaps in fencing or hedging. We will not consider homes where the garden is not fully and appropriately secure.
Molly is wonderful with the dogs she has met at rescue, has no health issues, and simply needs a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and cherished.
These girls will be extremely popular. Please only apply if you fully meet their needs and can provide the secure, calm home they require.
We will be very selective. Please complete the application form with as much detail as possible so we can fairly assess your suitability.
The adoption donation is £500. A successful home check must be completed before arranging a meet and greet. Adopters must be able to travel to Ayr to meet and collect.
Please read our adoption process carefully and then complete the application form linked on that page.
