This lovely, gentle, large lad is Marley- a 3 year old, Spanish Mastin. He has a beautiful, brown, textured thick coat, with unusual facial markings. This handsome boy came to our attention because he is being left in a tiny apartment and a tinier balcony for 23 hours per day!

Marly is a very special and well-loved dog since puppyhood that, due to family circumstances, needs a new home. He is beautifully trained, used to living inside, and a striking looking dog with a beautiful coat, affectionate with people and social with other dogs.

Due to Marley’s size, we think he is better homed with another female or as an only dog. He is used to the lead he will thrive in a rural environment, maybe a farm, small holding or large gardens, and a family used to walking or other outside activities.
He ignores cats and can live with children over 8 years.

  • Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:
  • Homecheck:
  • For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:
  • Adoption Fee: £
Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young, then the new owners will need to ensure this is done and proof sent to us once complete. All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. DogwatchUk does this on your behalf so that we know that its been done.

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks which are carried out via a video call. There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK (or Paypal) and covers the cost of passport, bloods, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.
If you are adopting a UK dog then the process is still the same but there will be no bloods or passport or transport costs.
If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.
If the application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.
Our checker will be given your details to contact you. All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).
We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.
Proof of ID and landlord permission (if applicable) is required

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.

Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Paid to the Spanish rescue via UK bank account
