We are all thankful we get to celebrate Gramma’s Milestone Birthday this weekend. She is turning 90 and there is a party planned with some surprises and lots of fun planned for the big day on Sunday. Gramma has never been a big fan of animals but with Mom as her daughter, she has had to learn to deal with things from gerbils to rabbits, cats and dogs. Today I dug up a few photos of Mom’s dogs with Gramma.
Gramma met Emma when they moved back from Germany and stayed with Gramma for a few months. She got to know Emma and they had a lot of good times together. When Emma started the blog and was deciding what to call it, Gramma advised against calling it EmmaTheGBGV.com in case something should happen to Emma. Turns out Gramma was right and we love the title she chose plus it works for any of us hounds.
We can’t find a photo of Katie with Gramma but Emma, Katie, and Bailie celebrated Gramma’s birthday in 2014. Katie and Emma visited Gramma every week and Gramma always enjoyed having them come out.
After Emma and Katie passed away, I was the oldest dog and Gramma deemed me her favorite, don’t tell anyone! She loves when I come to visit even though I don’t come out much anymore due to the car ride.
We have this shot of Bailie and Madison celebrating Gramma’s birthday in 2020. Mom used to take turns with who she brought out to Gramma’s house on the weekend.
Nelson doesn’t really know Gramma. When he was little, Gramma was in a place to recover and Mom didn’t want to bring him there. He has been to Gramma’s a few times but he is so strong, Gramma is afraid of him and being knocked over by accident. Still he celebrates her birthday. We love this photo of him in a birthday photo from 2022. He always means well and loves to cuddle but you need to be strong to handle his hugs.
All Mom’s dogs, even Trine, loved going to visit Gramma. She has always been kind to us and she has special cookies that are readily available in the pantry. We are excited to celebrate her and the milestone birthday of turning 90. It’s going to be a lot of fun and we will post about the highlights next week.
