If you’re like me and are a dog lover and a massive Bravo fan, I know that you are concerned about Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s current dog co-parenting situation. I just want their rescue dogs, Reese and Ryder, to thrive amid their parents’ separation and the messiness that has followed!
Former Vanderpump Rules star and current The Valley personality Tom Schwartz, who famously owned two very good boys, Butter and Gordo, with his ex-wife, Katie Maloney, commented on Kyle and Amanda’s situation with their dogs. During a May 2026 interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Schwartz was asked if he had “any advice for Kyle and Amanda [about] co-parenting dogs” and to share his current “custody agreement” with “Katie for Gordo and Butter.”
While Schwartz didn’t really offer any advice for Kyle and Amanda (or Reese and Ryder for that matter), he shared that he now has main ownership of Butter and Gordo.
“In the beginning, we did every other week. But I think it was stressful on the dogs, so we talked; we had a great conversation about it. She was like, ‘Let’s just keep them with you,’” said Schwartz, who finalized his divorce from Katie in 2022.
Schwartz clarified that Katie will often visit the canine companions.
“She comes and picks them up whenever she wants to,” said Schwartz.
