Meet adoptable deaf dog Rocky who is a very sweet 3 year old Catahoula/Aussie mix who is looking for a safe and loving forever home.
From his caregiver: Rocky wandered into my townhouse community in May of 2023 and was 37lbs and tired and exhausted (his first pic is attached). Today he is healthy and around 65 lbs. I didn’t have room for him, but I took him in with the plan being temporary, his owners never showed up to claim him and he stayed. I realized he was deaf about a week later and he was already house trained and gentle upon showing up at my door. He has been with me since. He is well behaved and gets along with other dogs well and even cats that we see in the neighborhood. Rocky has two different color eyes as well to being deaf.
Rocky’s deafness doesn’t slow him down, he loves to play at the park and the only negative thing I can say about him is if he hasn’t seen someone in a while and he sees them, he gets a little excited and will want all the attention from that person. I’m willing to assist with travel to find him a great home. Ideally the home would have a good size yard for him to play, currently i am in a townhouse with a very small yard and he needs some space. He is not aggressive and would not hurt a fly. Breed wise the vets say he is a Catahoula Aussie Shepherd mix. Rocky’s adoption fee is $200 to a screened and approved home only and you must live within 150 miles of Springdale Arkansas to be considered for adoption.
