Meet adoptable deaf 8 week old (DOB 5.24.26) sweet little 5 pounds of joy Cockapoo girl Kristen who is looking for a very special and patient home where she will be cherished, where daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment are a priority and with someone who will always keep her safe.

From her caregiver: Meet Our Beautiful Blue-Eyed Cockapoo Girl
This beautiful little Cockapoo girl will be 8 weeks old in just a few days and is looking for a very special forever family.
She was born into a litter whose original family wasn’t able to continue caring for her, so we were asked to help raise her and find her the loving home she deserves. She has been surrounded by love every day since then, and finding the absolute best family for her is our highest priority.
She is a brave, affectionate, playful, energetic, and incredibly intelligent little puppy. She loves cuddles, exploring, playing, and being close to her people. She has so much love to give and has a sweet, curious personality that makes everyone who meets her fall in love.

She has been identified as deaf, and while that makes her unique, it certainly does not define her. Deaf dogs are capable of learning, thriving, and living wonderful, happy lives with families who are patient and committed to communicating through visual cues and positive reinforcement.
Because she cannot hear, there are a few things we’d like her future family to understand:
* She sometimes becomes startled around much larger dogs because she cannot hear them approaching.
* She absolutely loves playing with other puppies, but occasionally she doesn’t realize how hard she’s biting because she can’t hear their yelps. With gentle guidance, consistency, and supervised play, she can continue learning appropriate play manners.
* Like many curious puppies, she enjoys exploring everything including things she shouldn’t! A puppy-proofed home will be very important to keep her safe.
* Since she cannot hear traffic or other hazards, she should always be kept in a secure environment or on a leash whenever she is outdoors.
Kristen has received excellent care and will go home with:
* Her first vaccinations
* Age-appropriate deworming
* Health records
* A starter bag of her food
* A familiar blanket and toy to help with the transition
We are looking for a family that is patient, responsible, loving, and willing to give Kristen the time and guidance she deserves. Previous experience with deaf dogs is not require an open heart and a willingness to learn.
We are located in Miami, Florida, and would love to find a home nearby if possible so we can stay in touch. We are also happy to schedule a FaceTime so you can meet her and see her wonderful personality before making a decision.
Because we care so deeply about her future, we ask that if, at any point in her life, you are no longer able to care for her, she be returned to us rather than rehomed elsewhere (a signed agreement will be in place). We have made a lifelong commitment to her well-being.
This little girl Kristen has already overcome so much in her short life. Now she deserves a family who will see her not for what she cannot hear, but for the joyful, loving, intelligent companion she is.
If you believe you may be the right match for her, we’d love to hear from you.
****Kristen’s adoption fee is $450 to a screened and approved family only and you must live within a 2 hour drive of Miami Florida to be considered for her adoption.
