Meet Ellie adoptable deaf Labrador Ellie who is looking for a very special home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe.
From her caregiver: Ellie is a 4-year-old, 55-pound black Labrador looking for the perfect forever home. She is exceptionally gentle, affectionate, and easy to live with. She has wonderful house manners, is fully house trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be out), walks beautifully on leash, has reliable off-leash manners. She would thrive in a home with at least one other dog and would make an incredible companion.
Ellie is deaf in one ear and decreased hearing in the other. She has adapted beautifully and responds confidently to hand signals and visual cues.
She is spayed, up to date on all veterinary care, had a full dental cleaning in May and has completed her OFA health clearances, including OFA Hips- Good, OFA Elbows – Normal, OFA Eyes (CAER), Echo Cardiograph – Normal, BAER hearing evaluation – deaf/ deceased , and normal genetic testing.
Ellie is truly one of those special dogs that quietly steals your heart. She’s looking for a family who will love her as much as she will love them.
Her adoption fee is $400 to a carefully screened and approved home only.
You must live within a two hour driving distance of Killingworth CT to be considered for her adoption.
