Meet adoptable deaf 2.5 year old mini Australian Shepherd Doty who is looking for a very special home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe.
Her caregiver will required all prospective adoptees to live within a two hour drive of Gretna Nebraska (near Omaha NE) to meet her in person.

From her caregiver: Hi everyone—I’m hoping to find the right home for my sweet girl, Doty
Doty is a mini Australian Shepherd (born 08/10/2023) with the kindest, most gentle personality. She absolutely loves people and has a very calm, respectful way of greeting—she’s not overwhelming or jumpy. She’ll happily give you a few kisses, but she’s not over-the-top about it.
She’s especially gentle with kids and has a really soft, easygoing nature around them. Doty also does well with other dogs, but I truly think she would thrive as the only dog in the home where she can soak up all the attention and build her confidence.

She enjoys short walks and is pretty laid-back for her breed. She also loves to snuggle—but usually in short, sweet bursts before she’s ready to go do her own thing again. One of her funny little quirks is that she likes to “talk” at the fence—it’s part of her personality and something that makes her her.
Doty is wonderful at the groomer (a total angel), crate trained, and she already knows some sign language, which is a great foundation to build on. She’s a smart girl who just needs consistency and someone willing to continue working with her.

I want Doty to be in a home where she can fully thrive and get the time, structure, and attention she deserves.
If you think you might be a good fit for Doty, please reach out—I’d love to talk more about her
***Her adoption fee is $400 to a screened and approved home only. You must live within a two hour drive of Gretna Nebraska to meet her in person.
