Meet adoptable deaf, 1. 5 year old Catahoula mix Cassie who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe.

From her advocate: Cassie Catahoula Leopard mix hound who is a deaf 1.5 year old, 48 lbs of pure love and she is spayed.
Cassie is a truly special girl who is looking for her forever home. She is sweet as pie and she loves to cuddle. Cassie faces some challenges because she is deaf and has some impaired vision. Adding to this, sadly she was abandoned in a house in South Carolina after a hurricane. Cassie was left alone to fend for herself and this resilient girl survived! She’s been searching for her forever home for over a year. Unfortunately, people find it hard to see past her deficits (we consider them super powers because of her being so in tune with her human friends). But we see Cassie for who she is and hope someday a loving and patient person will give her a chance. Despite her past, Cassie remains hopeful her life will turn around.

Cassie is an affectionate girl. Her favorite activity is to snuggle. She enjoys car rides, toys, and playing in the yard or going for a hike. She is fully housetrained. Our trainer is committed to continuing her training with a new family because we all love her so much and want her to succeed. Cassie is seeking a home ready to embrace a special needs dog and support her in all the ways she needs. In return, she is bound to give endless love and companionship.

Cassie’s adoption fee is sponsored and she is available with no travel restrictions in the US. You must be carefully screened prior to being approved to be her new home. If you are interested in adopting Cassie please email Kelly at: kelly@anewchancear.org
