Batu is a 2.5-year-old male Cross-Breed. Weighing 30kg and classed as a large dog, Batu currently lives in a shelter in Cyprus after being heartbreakingly surrendered by his previous owner.
Once living in an apartment, he’s now learning how to trust again in the noisy, unpredictable environment of a municipal shelter.
Though understandably wary at first, Batu has a heart of gold and a gentle nature that shines through once he starts to feel safe. He’s calm during vet visits, enjoys car journeys, and shows polite behaviour even when surrounded by barking, stressed-out dogs.
His composed reaction to chaotic situations is impressive and says a lot about his potential in a stable, loving home.
Batu can live with other dogs, particularly those of a similar size, or thrive as an only pet. In the shelter, he’s always curious and keen to say hello to the others, which shows his social side.
He’s already house trained from his previous home, and possibly has some basic training under his belt. Still, like all rescue dogs, he’ll benefit from ongoing support, routine, and positive reinforcement.
He would be happiest in a peaceful home that offers regular walks, space to rest, and most importantly, consistent affection. Batu deserves a second chance—not just at life, but at experiencing the kind of unconditional love and loyalty he’s more than ready to return.
