Meet Bam Bam, your future best friend! Bam Bam is a handsome, happy-go-lucky 1-year-old male who weighs about 40 pounds and is ready to find his forever home. He is affectionate, playful, house trained, good with dogs and kids, and neutered. Bam Bam was surrendered to a rural county shelter in North Carolina after his owners could no longer care for him. Now he is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a loving family.
Bam Bam is deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from being an amazing companion! He can be taught visual cues and hand signals just like a hearing dog can learn verbal commands. With patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, treats, and affection, Bam Bam can learn how to communicate with his people and understand what is expected of him. In fact, teaching him his own special language can create an incredibly strong bond between him and his family.
Bam Bam has a big personality packed into his 40-pound frame. He is playful, affectionate, loving, and full of life. He is looking for a family who will give him the love, patience, and understanding he deserves. His deafness is simply one small part of who he is, and it certainly doesnt define the wonderful dog he can be.
