A Short Tour Of Brighton Michigan

A Short Tour Of Brighton MichiganLast Saturday after the first day of my nose work trial, Mom took me and Nelson to Mill Pond Park in Brighton. It is an adorable town with lots of little shops and quite a bit of history. We spent most of our visit walking by the pond.

My GBGV Life pond fountainThe pond has several pretty fountains to find as you walk around it on the walkway.

Here is another view of the area from the parking lot which was free to park in.

My GBGV Life A Short Tour Of Brighton MichiganThere are bump outs with benches all along the elevated walkway. Most of them have pretty views and are a nice place to relax for a bit.

Along the walkway there are random pieces of art. We like this fish we saw on the side of the walkway.

My GBGV Life keg stackThere are numerous bars and restaurants around the pond as well. One of them that advertised beer has this stack of kegs out front.

My GBGV Life A Short Tour Of Brighton MichiganAs we walked on the sidewalk along Main Street we found they have cut outs here and there talking about history from this area. This is Henry Ford with John Tanner.

The cut outs have plaques next to them with the history. Being a breed with beards, we found this story about John Tanner quite interesting. Thankfully our beards are not that long!

My GBGV Life odd statue thingOf course, something weird had to be found and this was right by where we parked our car. We have no idea what it is supposed to be but we will wrap up our post with it anyway, just for laughs.

I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
