I first met Brandon McMillan in 2015 when he graciously agreed to serve as spokesperson for our Get Your Licks on Route 66® cross-country pet adoption tour. Over the next three years, Brandon lent not only his celebrity status but his passion for animal rescue to our mission. He even joined us in Los Angeles to film our pet adoption event, and each year our tour was featured on CBS’s Lucky Dog, bringing national attention to the importance of pet adoption.
Now, nearly a decade later, I’m delighted to welcome Brandon back as spokesperson for our 18th Annual Get Your Licks on Route 66® Pet Adoption Tour. While so much has changed in his life since those early days, one thing remains constant: his unwavering commitment to helping shelter pets find loving homes.
Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Brandon to catch up on life after Lucky Dog, his growing family, exciting new television projects, and why animal adoption continues to be one of the most important causes in his life.
Although many fans still associate Brandon with the Emmy Award-winning Lucky Dog, his career has expanded in exciting new directions. Today, he hosts not one, but two successful series: Lucky Dog Reunions and Lucky Dog Down Under.
One of the projects closest to his heart is Lucky Dog Reunions, a show that gives viewers something they’ve long hoped to see: what happened after the cameras stopped rolling.
