We stopped in Hannibal, Missouri on the way home which is the home of Mark Twain. My three siblings all come from a breeder close to there and she wanted to meet me. She knows the owner of the paddleboat, so we could even go onboard and take a photo.
They do cruises on the river, but we didn’t do that. As we were leaving the boat was starting to get busy for the next trip. Here we are on the bridge to the boat.
Now you can see the boat a bit better. It is pretty fancy looking. I look rather bored but I was really enjoying being carried around. Travel is tiring.
The riverfront park also has a statue of Mark Twain, so we posed by that too. Hard to believe Mom has been through Hannibal like a million times and never stopped at this park! The whole town is about Mark Twain. She says we may stop again when we have more time to look around.
If you are interested, we made the plaque a bit bigger so one can actually read what it says.
As we were getting ready to leave a train went by. They are loud and it blew it’s whistle too. Mom wanted to see if I would be afraid or not. Nope, I was not at all afraid of the big train. I’m a big boy! That concludes my nature Friday post which isn’t exactly nature but I was mostly outside at least, right?
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
