Frankie is an almost 1-year-old cattle dog mix who was born deaf and blind who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, provide daily positive reinforcement touch training/enrichment/socialization to set her up for success in her new home. A structured routine with a person experienced in living and raising a deaf/blind dog like Frankie.
From her current caregiver: At eleven months old, Frankie is a bundle of puppy energy and love that she often times doesn’t know what to do with. She gets the zoomies around the house, using the couch as a ramp to run across. We have another dog who she loves to play with ALL the time (until the other dog has had enough). Frankie can be pretty restless at times- pacing the house or moving between spots trying to get comfortable. She does eventually settle down for a nap, usually wedged halfway under the couch. She does well on short walks and at the dog park off leash, following my smell and the smell of treats.
Frankie sometimes gets off track and I have to run after her to redirect. I believe Frankie needs some specialized training and dedicated time to reach her full potential. She really is the sweetest animal who wants to be close to her people all the time. And what a silly personality she has! Never a dull moment.
Frankie’s adoption fee is $150 to a screened and approved home and you must live within a two hour driving distance of Salt Lake City, Utah to be considered for Frankie’s adoption.
