Wayzata Lakeshore Walking In The Heat

Wayzata Lakeshore Walking In The HeatMom and I did some lakeshore walking in Wayzata on the way to Gramma’s house last weekend. It was a gorgeous day, but a bit on the warm side. Of course, we had to do a photo in the giant Adirondack chair.

My GBGV Life walkway rulesWe found a new walkway to try. It goes from the railroad station to the Cove restaurant. The only way to get off is to get into the water or have a boat pick you up. We opted to walk the entire way.

My GBGV Life Wayzata Lakeshore Walking In The HeatOne place where you could get in the water has a different surface and it moves with the water. Mom had me give it a try. I was afraid of it actually but with her help, I was able to walk down there and sit for a photo. New experiences with surfaces is always a good thing for dogs to work on.

My GBGV Life Olivia on the benchThey also have benches along the new walkway. One could say that I was feeling benched.

My GBGV Life lakeshoreWe walked down to the lakeshore over by the beach. There were a lot of boats out on the water, but they are hard to see in the photo.

My GBGV Life end of pierA lot of pier/dock entrances are locked but some of them are open and we could walk out to the end and check on the water.

My GBGV Life taking a restAlong the street walkway, there are benches and different things to see as you walk along. I took a seat for a moment as I was really getting warm. Between me and the water there is a train track. When we arrived a really long and loud train passed by.

My GBGV Life Wayzata Lakeshore Walking In The HeatI’ll leave you with the splash pad. It is for kids, adults, dogs, anyone who needs water to cool off. I declined. The water moves up and down which I find makes it even more frightening. It was a nice little walk and then we headed over to Gramma’s house to some A/C.

I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
