On the way to Gramma’s last weekend Mom and I stopped to take a walk around Normandale Lake. The lake is right next to a large business park and a lot of apartment buildings. Surprisingly, it was not very busy which we like.
We took this photo from the other end of the lake, and look at that sky! It is so pretty. In the very background you can also see the ski jump that is still functioning…in the winter of course.
There are parts of the trail that are full of luscious greenery, but you can still see the lake.
Other parts of the trail are more wooded. No matter where you are on the trail, shade is hard to find. It was pretty warm in the sun.
It is true we can’t stand Canadian Geese but the fuzzy little ones are cute. Still, we wish they would go away and never come back as they are mean, dangerous, and so very dirty, leaving messes all over.
There are a few bridges over the water in places. They are for bikes and pedestrians.
This is another shot of the office buildings that are around the lake. When you are walking around the lake, you don’t feel at all like you are in a business district.
Now for the fancy part of the lake, the waterfall. It is pretty, and looks so refreshing.
It looks even better with me in front of it, don’t you think? I’m not into water at all. There is no chance I would jump in there.
We finished our walk and went to Gramma’s house. Look what we found at the front door? Luckily, Mom saw it first and pulled me away before I knew what was up. Hopefully he hopped away or his Mom came and found him. My mom wanted to cuddle with him but knows not to touch a wild rabbit as it may cause the mom to reject it. That’s our nature for this week!
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
