Floyd – 10 year old male Cross-Breed available for adoption

Meet Floyd, a 10 year old male Cross-Breed who is large in size and enjoys a calm, easygoing lifestyle.

Floyd is described by his foster carer as being excellent with visitors to the home and a brilliant dog who is no problem to have around at all.

Floyd currently lives with other dogs and enjoys a very good relationship with them. His foster carer thinks he would appreciate having a dog companion of a similar age and energy level in his forever home, but this is not essential.

Floyd also happily lives alongside cats. He was cat tested in Romania with no issues reported. He would therefore be able to live with dog-savvy cats. Slow, sensible introductions are always recommended.

Floyd has met children of various ages, including those under 10. He was largely uninterested in them unless they happened to have food.

He would be a fantastic addition to many families, but the ideal home for him would be with people who also enjoy a slower pace of life.

Floyd accepts a lead and harness. He does not need much exercise and prefers a slow wander over a brisk walk. He does not pull, and his foster carer says he is always happier going back indoors than he was going out.

Floyd is toilet trained but not crate trained.

He shows no signs of destructive behaviour or separation anxiety and tends to sleep when left alone.

He settles down and sleeps well overnight in the kitchen of his foster home after a quick toilet break in the garden beforehand.

Floyd has not travelled in a car while he has been in the UK.

Floyd’s foster carer says he absolutely loves cheese and will be anyone’s best friend for mature Cheddar or Stilton.

She feels he would really suit an older person or couple who are not up for long walks but would love a dog for companionship and company. Floyd truly loves the easy life.
