Couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos recently had an argument that all pup parents will relate to.
TV Insider reported that Ripa and Consuelos discussed their beloved dog, Lena, while filming the January 20 episode of LIVE With Kelly and Mark. During the episode, Ripa teased that her husband has “a codependent relationship” with Lena. Consuelos, a truly devoted dog dad, didn’t disagree with his wife, stating, “Yeah, I do. Total codependent.”
However, even though Consuelos is totally obsessed with Lena, Ripa said she believes their furry friend prefers her company.
“If you put Lena in a room, in between the two of us, and we both called her, she would come to me,” said Ripa to her husband.
When Consuelos disagreed with his wife, Ripa reminded him that it was her idea to adopt the pup in 2021. In fact, Ripa said that Consuelos “fought” her about rescuing the dog.
Consuelos admitted that he didn’t originally want the pup.
“I’m so glad you didn’t listen to me. She is amazing,” said the Riverdale actor while filming the Live With Kelly and Mark episode.
