Seiko is a 6 year old male Akita.
How has a 6 year old pure bred akita ended up in shelter for the past 6 months 🙁 He’s a lovely, friendly boy who does not deserve this so late in life.
Given his nature we can only assume he was well-loved before, but not quite loved enough to be cared for his whole life. This is particularly heartbreaking given how fiercely loyal akitas are.
His name is Seiko and he is ready to be adopted, fostered, or we will consider foster with a view to adopt.
He is your typical akita – affectionate and wants attention for himself. For that reason he is best homed as an only dog.
Seiko is a well-rounded boy from the small experiences he’s had since arriving – calm at the vets, travels well, walks well on the leash, takes treats gently.
All Seiko asks for is a comfy bed, nice walks, and someones love and attention. It’s best for any home to be experienced with a larger breed or even with the akita breed.
Please let’s not let Seiko waste any more of his short life caged up. He deserves to know love again after being heartlessly abandoned.
