Lara, this 5 year old female springer spaniel is the definition of a happy, active dog. She is the ultimate retriever — if you can throw it, she will chase it!
Balls, sticks, stones… even the occasional orange — she proudly collects her treasures and brings them back with pure excitement. She would thrive with an active person who enjoys walks, playtime, and a dog who’s always ready for the next adventure.
Despite her energy, Lara has an incredibly gentle soul. She is kind and calm with other animals and has a naturally sweet temperament that makes her easy to love.
Her past, however, was far from kind. Lara was found caged, severely underweight, and very unwell. But like many truly special dogs, she chose joy over fear. Today, she is full of life, energy, and affection — a true testament to her resilience.
Lara is also a Leishmania carrier, currently stable and well-managed with daily medication (Alopron 200, twice a day), which she takes without any fuss. She is regularly monitored and living a happy, healthy life.
She walks beautifully both on and off the lead, making her an easy and enjoyable companion outdoors.
While she gets along well with other animals, we believe Lara would truly flourish as the only dog in a home where she can receive all the love, attention, and activity she has been missing for so long.
