Spot is a 3-year-old male Dalmatian Cross Great Dane. He is currently based in kennels in Buckinghamshire after being rescued from the meat trade, and he is now ready to find a calm and comfortable forever home.
His past has clearly shaped his gentle and appreciative nature.
He is described as a true gentleman who enjoys the simple comforts of home life. Spot is already both lead trained and house trained, which means he has a solid foundation and can settle into a home environment more easily.
His manners and calm demeanour make him a lovely companion.
Spot would suit a quieter household, as he prefers a more relaxed pace of life. He enjoys short, gentle walks but is not overly demanding when it comes to exercise. After a bit of time outdoors, he is happiest heading back to his bed to rest and relax.
In terms of compatibility, Spot can live with calm dogs who match his laid-back temperament. He would not do well in a busy or overly energetic multi-dog household, so any canine companions should be similarly easygoing.
He has not been cat tested, so his behaviour around cats is currently unknown.
He is best suited to a home with older children aged 10 and above, where his need for a calm and predictable environment can be respected. A quieter home will allow him to continue building confidence and enjoying a stress-free life.
Spot’s journey from such difficult beginnings to becoming a gentle and affectionate dog highlights his resilience. He is looking for a home that can offer him stability, patience, and plenty of cosy spaces to rest.
A home check and adoption fee will apply as part of the process to ensure he finds the right match.
