Fluffy is a 20-month-old female Shih Tzu Cross. She is described as a sweet, playful, and happy young dog who still has plenty of puppy-like energy and behaviour.
Despite her young age, Fluffy has already experienced a difficult start in life, having had two litters before reaching 18 months old. She would now benefit from a calmer and quieter environment where she can finally enjoy being cared for herself.
She is friendly with people and enjoys human company. Fluffy is also good with other dogs and has experience socialising with them positively.
Her affectionate and cheerful nature makes her an enjoyable companion to have around the home. She appears eager to interact and bond with those around her.
Fluffy has previously lived with cats. However, it is noted that she may chase cats in the garden if they run, so careful introductions and supervision would still be sensible in a new home.
Inside the home environment, she has already shown that she can coexist with cats. Her playful instincts simply become more noticeable outdoors.
She is considered suitable for homes with children aged eight years and above. As Fluffy is still young and energetic, older children who understand how to behave calmly around dogs would likely suit her best.
A quieter household is preferred because she has come from a chaotic background with significant responsibilities at a very young age. She deserves stability, patience, and time to settle properly.
On walks, Fluffy can currently be a little chaotic on the lead, although work is already being done to improve this. She has been exercised using a long training line and enjoys running freely while showing a good recall response.
Continued positive reinforcement training will help her build confidence and improve her lead manners further. She appears intelligent and willing to learn.
Fluffy also enjoys her food and is happy eating both raw and cooked diets. Her enthusiasm for meals may make ongoing training easier, as food rewards can be used positively.
She is currently located in Billericay, Essex and can be met there for the right home. Fluffy is now looking for a loving family who can offer her the peaceful and caring future she deserves.
