We solved our mystery of the rodent and all the highway signs about a place with a giant rodent called Buc-ees. Back in 2021 when Madison and I did our Florida trip we noticed Buc-ees signs and had no idea what it was. Then we heard about it and wished we had checked one out. Well, on our way to Perry, we found one and checked it out.
It turns our the rodent is actually a beaver and is named that because the owner of this empire was nicknamed beaver by his mom as a boy. Mom was in about ten percent of the store and said she could probably spend the whole day in the place. Of course, there is a ton of merchandise with the mascot if you want a shirt, mug, hat, just about anything including breath mints. We are questioning beaver breath mints but people by them. The stuffies sure look cute! They sell gas and have probably some forty pumps and the cheapest price around.
Since we are not allowed in the store, Buc-ee came outside and let us pose with him. He held our leashes while Mom snapped our fan photo. I think Mom will stop at these in the future now that we know a bit more about them. Thankfully the mystery since 2021 about what Buc-ees is has been solved. How about you, have you ever been to a Buc-ees?
