Meet adoptable deaf/vision impaired Heeler mix Milo who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, become his new best friend and always keep him safe.

MILO – VA – Deaf Dogs Rock

Milo is a 6 year old neutered male and a sweat heart. He is deaf and visually impaired. He maps his environment and will follow other dogs in the house.
He loves to play with dogs his age or younger.
3 years ago he had a right rear leg tibial plateau osteotomy. His gait is unique since he has a straight leg and his left one is slanted as any other dog.

when he needs quiet play he has a sloth soft toy.

I took him in when he was 1 year old; his first person had not been a trainer. Her other dog did not weigh 3 pounds. That is not a bases for training a deaf blue healer. He is 28% blue healer, 25 percent staffordshire terrier, and 8 or 9 percent of German shepherd, and chow chow. He is a working dog no doubt. so play or and activities are important.

He learns quickly! He will learn who runs the house and follows them.

right after i brought him home I started having trouble with my mobility. At this point I have significant medical problems. My sister takes care of my brother and has 2 12 years old dogs that don’t play with him.

I want a home for Milo who will see what a wonderful dog he is and is open to training.

Milo’s adoption fee is $250 to a screened and approved family. You must live within a 2 hour drive of Winchester VA (Northern VA and DC area) to be considered for adoption.
