King is a 2-year-old male German Shepherd Dog Cross. He’s a large, striking boy, weighing in at 30kg, and currently living in a shelter in Cyprus after being picked up as a stray in May 2024.
Like many German Shepherds, King is intelligent, confident, and full of energy. He thrives on human interaction and gets genuinely thrilled whether you’re an old pal or someone he’s meeting for the first time.
King loves getting out of his kennel for walks and exercise. He’s got a playful streak and enjoys burning off energy, which is essential for a dog his size and strength.
Despite his boisterous nature, he’s gentle when taking treats from staff and volunteers and shows clear signs of wanting to please. He’s food-motivated, which will make training more straightforward for an experienced owner.
Speaking of which—King needs someone who’s handled strong, energetic dogs before. He’ll benefit from consistent training, particularly on the lead and with basic commands.
His personality is pure Shepherd: loyal, driven, and always ready for action. He just needs the right guidance to channel it all.
He’s good with other dogs and could either live with a female dog or be perfectly content as the only pup in the household. His reaction to cats is unknown, so caution would be wise if introducing him to feline friends.
As for kids, he’s best suited to a home with children over 10 years old. He’s playful and may not realise just how big and powerful he really is.
King isn’t just another rescue dog—he’s a diamond waiting to shine. All he needs is a chance, a home, and someone willing to invest in his future. With love, patience, and training, he’ll become a truly incredible companion.
