It’s birthday time again and it is not a party without treats but what treats for a thirteen year old will I choose? My choices are a bit limited since I did some big damage to my teeth two years ago busting out of metal kennels and baby gates. Thankfully, I still have all my teeth but I am not supposed to eat or chew really hard things. We are still lucky to have the Three Dog Bakery near us and that is where I ended up as usual.
You know I am not good with the car ride thing. Mom snapped this shot of me in the car. I look happy but you can tell from my tongue I am stressed. Lucky for me, the bakery is only about five minutes away. I really do enjoy being in other places, but the ride to get there is not my thing.
I did a bit of shopping around. The A/C was set pretty high, which is why I was checking out the blankets. I’m pretty sure Mom was cold.
There is a new big section of treat dispensers from WestPaw. These would not be something for me but I bet Nelson would love something like this. It’s hard for me to shop as I can’t really jump up anymore. If things are above my head, I can’t check them out.
Sniffing around the bones and chews section is always the best. I have never had rawhide, Mom doesn’t like it for dogs. It is nice to sniff around on it here at the store and imagine how it would be. These days it would not be for me to chew anyway. I did get lots of samples and I chose my birthday treats. I think everyone will enjoy them at my party. Now for the drive back home, ugh!
