Looking Back A Dozen Years To My First Year

Looking Back A Dozen Years To My First YearToday I’m looking back a dozen years to my first year. I was one of fourteen puppies and let me tell you how nice it was to get away to a home with only two other dogs and two cats! The first year or so are kind of a distant memory but it is fun to see photos and remember the good times I had back then.

My GBGV Life on blankyI was very polite and even brought my own blanket to my new home. It had smells of my birth family which helped make me more relaxed with my new family.

My GBGV Life the window bench Emma showed me the front window right away. It has always been an important place for everyone that lives here.

My GBGV Life Looking Back A Dozen Years To My First YearMy new sisters mentioned that photos would be a big part of my life and I should learn to smile for the camera. Evidently, they didn’t follow their own advice as I have a big grin and they are not paying attention to the camera at all!

My GBGV Life playing with KatieKatie was a very kind sister to me. A Kuvasz is supposed to be fierce and protective, but she was so sweet and gentle with me. We played together a lot even though she was eleven years older than me.

My GBGV Life cat and dog disagreementOne day, it started to get colder outside. Mom turned on the fireplace and I decided to fight cat bro Bert for the best spot. I have to say, he was up for the challenge and could be quite mean!

My GBGV Life sniffing snowAnother day, white stuff appeared all over our yard. I went out with Emma to check it out. We sniffed the air and enjoyed watching stuff fall from the sky and land on the formerly green yard.

My GBGV Life Looking Back A Dozen Years To My First YearI found out quickly that the white stuff is really a lot of fun. Emma and I enjoyed many games of chase together. Looking at this photo of my goofy face, I feel like I look a lot like Olivia with her crazy racing faces.

My GBGV Life Wild snowpantsSometimes I tried to get both my sisters to play. It was harder for Katie as she was a senior but she always tried.

My GBGV Life Looking Back A Dozen Years To My First YearOne thing I really find crazy is that Mom walked the three of us together. I guess Emma and Katie were well behaved on their leashes unlike the three of us nut jobs pulling and lunging that she walks now but with a max of two at a time!

My GBGV Life off to daycareAs I approached my first birthday, Mom labeled me as a troublemaker. I got into everything, destroyed stuff, and enjoyed being generally naughty. Her solution for me was daycare, so off I went a couple half days a week.Well, it didn’t help at all, and after a few months, she stopped taking me.

My GBGV Life Looking Back A Dozen Years To My First YearWe went walking around another lake where Mom used to live. Yes, unbelievably, all three of us with no issues at all. It’s nice to have the photos to remember those times.

My GBGV Life green puppyMy mischief/naughtiness continued on until I was about three. This is a photo of the first mowing of the year. Naturally, I was out there getting all nice and green! Hope you enjoyed looking back at some of my first year. I was trouble, but I came out of it and sometimes Mom says she misses me being naughty. I’m thankful Mom put up with me and all my naughty times and she is glad I turned out to be such a nice lady hound.
