Sponsoring Rob Morley and Rory

Sponsoring Rob Morley and Rory

In April 2026, Rob Morley owner of Morgansr Runaway Rory (not a typo) asked me to make a special slip collar and lead set in Union Jack colours in time for the Junior Open Agility in Germany, 2026.

Rory was due to compete at the event with handler Lyla Mason, making this a particularly special project. Representing your country in agility is a huge achievement, so I wanted the set to feel unique and worthy of the occasion.

Rob and myself are long time friends from way back when we used to hang about as kids, so I had no issues offering hm a sponsorship deal. We agreed that in return, Meg K9 would be tagged in show photos and event posts throughout the season.

Because the design required specific colours, many of the materials had to be specially sourced rather than pulled from existing stock. Rob gave me a brief on the overall style, measurements, and the type of finish he wanted. Before creating the final set, I produced sample versions to make sure everything sat correctly and matched the vision he had for Rory.

Rob gave me a brief of what the collar and head should look like and what the measurements were. I agreed to make a couple of samples before making the final piece.

Rob came over in April with Rush, his female agility dog, to view the final collar and lead set. He said he was thrilled and would be interested in one for Rush and already had interested people wanting lead and collar sets. We were contacted by a Team GB representative asking for a voucher so their team members could purchase too.

The process of creating a bespoke collar & lead set

Creating bespoke dog leads is something Meg K9 does every week, but to make something for a friend whose dog was competing in a GB agility team event held slightly more responsibility.

This item as will all my leads was designed with Robs input and genuinely made in the UK rather than sourced pre-made from China.

On this occasion Rob also wanted embroidery, so “RORY” was stitched on to the lead section.

Sponsorship / Collaboration Enquiries

I don’t offer general sponsorships or free product arrangements as a rule. Any collaborations are taken on selectively and only where there is a clear alignment with Meg K9.

Where a collaboration is agreed, it will involve clearly defined deliverables on both sides, agreed in advance.

Enquiries can be made with details of your dog and requirements to sarah@megk9.com.
