Meet George, an adoptable deaf 11-month-old pointer mix. Everyone he meets can see what an amazing dog he is.
He is looking for a patient, loving person or family who will learn how to communicate with him and help him feel safe and secure.

When George was just a few weeks old, he was found in a box under a truck in a driveway. Fortunately, a couple took him in and cared for him alongside their two dogs for about six months.
When their schedules changed, they did not want him to spend long days in a crate, so he moved to a home in the city with a fenced yard and two other dogs.
George loves to play and wrestle with his 21-pound, 9-year-old, male Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix roommate.
He also enjoys playing tug o, chewing on toys or bully sticks, and crunching on ice cubes.

George is still learning not to rush through doors and gates, so he will benefit from consistent leash training and clear boundaries.
He can also entertain himself quietly, especially when he has a dedicated chew toy.
Will use his indoor library bark instead of incessantly barking.
George will thrive in a home that can match his size, energy, and need for a safe, supportive environment.
• He would do best in a home without small children or slower, more fragile senior pets or adults, since he may accidentally knock them over during play.
• A home with another dog could be a great fit, as he enjoys having a canine companion.
• A fenced yard would be ideal, giving him a safe space to explore and play.
George’s adoption fee is $250 to a screened and approved home only and you must live within a 2 to 3 hour drive of Akron, Ohio to be considered for adoption. If you think you could give George a loving forever home please email Holly at: hollywilsoninbox@gmail.com
